Pit Bottom Operative - Pipejacking / Tunnelling

We are looking for an experienced Pit Bottom Operative to join an Active Tunnelling project at Riv Mease, starting 2nd November through to 28th December.
Duties will include:
- Working at pit/shaft bottom level
- Supporting pipejacking operations
- Assisting the miners and tunnelling team
- Working within shafts and pits
- Assisting with the movement of materials, pipes and equipment
- Carrying out general tunnelling and underground duties
- Following all site health and safety procedures
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Pit Bottom Operative
- Previous pipejacking or tunnelling experience
- Experience working within shafts and pits
- Comfortable working in underground environments
- Relevant site/tunnelling qualifications
- Good understanding of site safety
- Reliable and able to work effectively as part of a tunnelling team
Duration: 2nd November to 28th December 2026
