Our client is seeking an HV Technician to join its permanent Energy Transmission and Distribution team as an HV Technician. This UK-wide role will involve electrical installation, maintenance and operational support across high-voltage infrastructure, including 11kV, 33kV and 132kV systems, as well as utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out electrical installation, maintenance and testing activities across energy and T&D projects
- Working safely on 11kV, 33kV and 132kV electrical systems
- Supporting construction and operations and maintenance activities on utility-scale Solar PV and BESS systems
- Interpreting electrical drawings, technical documentation and project specifications
- Identifying faults and completing effective diagnostic and remedial work
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all work complies with relevant safety and industry standards
- Collaborating with project teams, site personnel and clients across locations throughout the UK
Job Requirements:
- Approved Electrician status with suitable electrical installation or electrical engineering qualifications
- 18th Edition, Test & inspect, Level 3 in Electrical Installation
- SHEA Power
- Experience working with HV systems (11kv/33kv)
- Experience in utility-scale Solar PV construction or operations and maintenance
- Understanding of Battery Energy Storage Systems and associated electrical infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of electrical health and safety procedures
- Ability to work across UK-wide sites and travel as required
