Commissioning Engineer
Our client is a growing engineering contractor operating within the power and energy sector. Due to continued project growth, they are seeking a Commissioning Engineer to support the delivery, testing and commissioning of electrical infrastructure projects across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Commission and test electrical systems and equipment across a range of power infrastructure projects.
- Support the installation, energisation and maintenance of electrical assets.
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance activities on LV and HV systems.
- Identify and rectify faults within electrical networks and equipment.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics and commissioning documentation.
- Complete commissioning records, test reports and associated documentation.
- Ensure all activities are carried out safely and in line with relevant regulations and procedures.
- Liaise with project teams, contractors and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements
- Experience in electrical commissioning, maintenance or testing within the power, utilities or energy sectors.
- Knowledge of LV and HV electrical systems.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
- Electrical qualification such as City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
