Our client is seeking an NEC Supervisor to support the delivery of capital highway projects across Hampshire. This site-based contract role will involve monitoring construction works, maintaining accurate records and liaising with contractors and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely and in accordance with NEC contracts, contract specifications and highway adoption standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Check and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with contract specifications, NEC requirements and highway adoption standards
- Monitor site works and verify that construction is carried out safely and to the required quality standards
- Relay instructions to contractors, subject to written confirmation from the NEC4 Project Manager or Supervisor
- Report work progress, issues and delays to the NEC4 Project Manager, Supervisor or relevant inspector
- Resolve minor design issues with contractors and ensure significant matters are reported appropriately
- Take and agree measurements, labour returns and plant returns, while compiling site diaries and records relating to day works and claims
- Liaise with contractors, developers, statutory authorities, the Police and members of the public to resolve queries and practical site issues
- Support health and safety compliance and address sustainability considerations throughout the construction process
Job Requirements:
- Experience in the highways or civil engineering industry
- Experience working with NEC contracts, preferably NEC4
- Understanding of highway construction, road adoption standards and site quality monitoring
- Ability to interpret contract specifications, identify issues and provide clear site updates
- Experience maintaining site records, measurements, diaries and information relating to claims
- Strong communication and liaison skills when working with contractors, authorities and the public
- Commitment to health and safety and sustainable construction practices
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car for site-based work

- Working hours: 37 hours per week
- Location: Site-based projects across Hampshire
- Planned start date: 20 October 2026
- Driving licence: Category B required
- DBS check: Not required
