Our client is seeking a Streetworks Inspector for a contract role in London. The position will involve inspecting streetworks activities, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and supporting the effective management of works across the highway network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out inspections of streetworks across the highway network
- Monitoring works to ensure compliance with relevant streetworks legislation, permits and specifications
- Identifying defects, non-compliance and safety issues, taking appropriate follow-up action
- Recording inspection findings accurately and maintaining clear documentation
- Liaising with contractors, utility companies and internal highways teams
- Supporting the delivery of safe, efficient and well-managed highway works
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience working for a highway authority
- Practical experience carrying out streetworks inspections
- Strong understanding of streetworks processes, compliance requirements and highway safety
- Ability to assess works on site and identify defects or breaches of requirements
- Confident communication skills when dealing with contractors and utility companies
- Accurate record-keeping and report-writing abilities
- Ability to work independently and hit the ground running in a busy highways environment
- NRSWA supervisor certificate
