Our client BAE Systems, a leading organisation in the defence and security sector, is seeking a Senior Project Controller to support the effective planning, monitoring and delivery of complex projects. This contract opportunity will suit someone with strong project controls expertise and the ability to provide accurate, timely insight across project performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the planning, control and delivery of defence and security projects
- Monitoring project performance against agreed scope, schedule, cost and quality requirements
- Maintaining project controls systems, processes and reporting tools
- Preparing regular project status reports, forecasts and performance updates
- Identifying risks, issues, trends and opportunities, and supporting appropriate mitigation activity
- Working closely with project managers, planners, commercial teams and other stakeholders
- Supporting change control, progress measurement and management reporting
- Ensuring project information is accurate, consistent and delivered in line with governance requirements
Job Requirements:
- Significant experience in project controls within a complex project environment
- Strong understanding of project planning, progress monitoring, forecasting and reporting
- Ability to analyse project data and provide clear, commercially aware insight
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communication skills and the ability to work effectively with varied stakeholders
- Proficiency with relevant project controls, planning or reporting systems
