Our client is seeking a Senior Civil CD Technician to support the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects on a contract basis. The role will lead the production and coordination of high-quality civil engineering drawings and models, while supporting digital engineering, multidisciplinary design and construction delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the coordination, management and delivery of civil engineering drawings and models
- Manage CAD workloads and prioritise resources to meet project programmes and delivery objectives
- Coordinate drawing production undertaken by offshore design teams
- Coordinate design information across Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Process engineering disciplines
- Ensure designs are developed in accordance with CDM Regulations, relevant industry standards and project requirements
- Support the resolution of technical queries and design clashes throughout project development
- Work closely with construction teams and supply chain partners to develop practical, buildable and efficient design solutions
- Mentor and support junior CAD technicians and designers where required
Job Requirements:
- Significant experience in civil design, CAD coordination or civil engineering design within the water sector
- Strong understanding of civil engineering drawings, models and design documentation
- Experience managing CAD workloads, design resources and project priorities
- Knowledge of BIM, digital engineering and digital delivery processes
- Understanding of CDM Regulations, health and safety requirements and relevant industry standards
- Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams and offshore design teams
- Strong technical problem-solving, communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to quality assurance, company standards and promoting a positive safety culture
