Our client is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to act as an Owner's Representative on a large-scale hyperscale data centre project. This contract opportunity is suited to a technically strong, site-based professional with a background in mechanical engineering, MEP installation and project delivery within mission-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage large-scale mechanical and MEP installation packages across the data centre project
- Drive programme progress and maintain momentum across multiple work fronts
- Coordinate subcontractors and oversee installation delivery on site
- Monitor progress, provide clear reporting and maintain stakeholder alignment
- Support the safe and efficient delivery of mechanical works in line with HSE requirements
- Maintain quality standards across all installation activities
- Work collaboratively with project teams, contractors and other stakeholders to resolve delivery issues
Job Requirements:
- Experience delivering fast-paced mission-critical or data centre projects
- Strong construction delivery background within site-based, installation-led environments
- Mechanical engineering expertise, with a sound understanding of MEP systems and installation
- Project management experience covering programme, coordination and delivery activities
- Confidence coordinating subcontractors and managing complex work fronts
- Clear communication skills and the ability to maintain effective stakeholder relationships
- Collaborative, technically capable and delivery-focused approach
- Strong understanding of health, safety and quality requirements within construction environments
