Overview
An offshore renewables organisation is seeking an experienced HSE professional to provide safety support across a range of operational and project activities. The role involves working closely with delivery teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure the safe planning, mobilisation, and execution of offshore projects across the UK and Northern Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the safe planning and mobilisation of projects and contractors, including reviewing risk assessments and method statements.
- Promote and strengthen safety culture through offshore visits, inspections, audits, drills, and workforce engagement.
- Investigate incidents and ensure lessons learned are captured and shared across the business.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardisation, and enhanced safety performance.
- Support emergency response preparedness activities, assurance processes, and risk workshops, including HAZID facilitation.
Requirements
- Previous experience in offshore environments, ideally within offshore wind, offshore energy, or related marine sectors.
- Strong understanding of HSE risk management, including risk assessment, barrier management, assurance activities, and safety improvement initiatives.
- Experience facilitating HAZID workshops and supporting emergency response processes.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a complex project environment.
- Experience coordinating or supporting project activities and stakeholders.
- Relevant HSE qualification, such as a NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.
- Current offshore certification and medical certification preferred.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage personnel at all levels.
- Proactive approach to safety leadership and continuous improvement.
