Senior HSE Advisor


Contract Type: Contract (Outside IR35)
Duration: Approximately 14 months
Location: Hybrid working (2-3 days per week at office Grimsby or in Barrow-in-Furness. With offshore travel requirements
Start Date: November 2026 until December 2027
Rate: Negotiable (Outside IR35)


We are supporting an international l offshore wind Owner and Developer to secure a Senior HSE Advisor to support a major offshore energy programme. This is an excellent opportunity for an HSE professional with a strong offshore background to play a key role in ensuring safe and efficient project delivery across a range of operational and engineering activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide HSE support and guidance to project and operational teams.
  • Support the safe mobilisation and execution of offshore activities.
  • Review and assess risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work.
  • Conduct audits, inspections and assurance activities both onshore and offshore.
  • Lead or support incident investigations and ensure lessons learned are implemented.
  • Facilitate HAZID workshops and other risk management processes.
  • Support emergency preparedness and response planning.
  • Promote a positive safety culture across all stakeholders and contractors.
  • Monitor compliance with company standards, industry regulations and client requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives relating to health, safety and environmental performance.

Requirements

  • Significant HSE experience within offshore environments.
  • Experience supporting offshore wind, oil and gas, marine, or other high-hazard industries.
  • Strong understanding of risk management, barrier management and assurance processes.
  • Experience facilitating HAZID workshops and risk reviews.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent HSE qualification.
  • Valid GWO certification, including Enhanced First Aid.
  • Current OGUK Medical including Chester Step Test.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently whilst influencing multiple project teams and contractors.
