Our client is seeking an Infrastructure Manager to support City Operations within the highways sector. This full-time contract role will cover a vacant Infrastructure Manager position for up to 12 months, supporting critical infrastructure, statutory approvals and the delivery of capital programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the critical and safety-related functions associated with statutory approvals
- Managing infrastructure and highway-related activities across operational and strategic levels
- Supporting the delivery of capital programmes, including Tame Valley Viaduct Management
- Providing effective oversight of infrastructure planning, maintenance and improvement works
- Co-ordinating with internal teams, contractors and external stakeholders to ensure successful programme delivery
- Monitoring risks, compliance requirements and safety considerations across infrastructure projects
- Preparing reports, updates and recommendations for relevant stakeholders
Job Requirements:
- Significant experience in infrastructure management within the highways sector
- Strong understanding of highway operations, infrastructure delivery and asset management
- Experience supporting statutory approvals and safety-critical functions
- Knowledge of capital programme delivery and project management principles
- Understanding of infrastructure risk management, compliance and governance
- Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work effectively at both operational and strategic levels
- Relevant qualification or professional experience in highways, civil engineering or infrastructure management
