A leading defence organisation are looking for two proven Procurement Manager's to join a high-performing team responsible for managing critical supplier relationships, commercial negotiations and procurement activities across complex engineering programmes.

  • Role: Procurement Manager (x2)
  • Duration: 9-month contract
  • Pay: Up to £45 p/hr (Inside IR35 via Umbrella)
  • Location: Stevenage or Bristol
  • Working Pattern: 3 days onsite

You'll be responsible for managing supplier relationships, commercial negotiations and procurement activities across a portfolio of engineering and manufacturing suppliers, ensuring cost, quality and delivery objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage strategic supplier relationships and performance.
  • Lead supplier negotiations covering pricing, terms and contractual agreements.
  • Support sourcing and procurement activities across engineering and manufacturing programmes.
  • Manage supplier risks, mitigation plans and escalation activities.
  • Drive cost reduction and value improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure supplier delivery performance meets programme requirements.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders across Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering and Operations.
  • Support commercial reviews, procurement governance and contract management activities.
  • Identify opportunities for supplier improvement and supply chain optimisation.

Working closely with programme, engineering, quality and supply chain stakeholders, you'll play a key role in ensuring continuity of supply, supplier performance and commercial value delivery across major programmes.

Key Requirements:

  • SC Cleared or eligible to obtain clearance
  • Defence, Aerospace, Manufacturing or Engineering experience
  • Proven supplier relationship management expertise
  • Third party licensing experience
  • Commercial negotiation capability and solid contract management experience
  • Proven risk management and supplier development expertise
  • ERP systems experience (SAP preferred)
  • Experience working within regulated or complex project environments
  • Experience managing European or global suppliers
  • Potential travel to Europe
