NEC Project Manager
Contract (Outside IR35) | South East Ireland
Matchtech are supporting a key client with the requisition of an NEC Project Manager in Wexford/Rosslare on a contract basis. This role will focus on the administration of NEC ECC contracts and the construction-stage delivery of major infrastructure projects, including the management of Contractor interfaces in live operational environments. The position will act as the principal day-to-day channel between the Consultant's project team, the Contractor and the Client, with responsibility for construction governance, project controls, programme management and commercial risk management across complex infrastructure projects.
Experience
- 10 years or more relevant experience in project management, contract administration or construction-stage delivery of major infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrable experience administering NEC ECC contracts, preferably NEC4 ECC Option C target cost contracts.
- Experience of Design and Build construction contracts.
- Experience of multidisciplinary civil engineering, marine, port, transport or live operational infrastructure projects of similar scale, complexity and risk profile.
- Experience managing Contractor interfaces in live operational environments, including safety-critical, access-constrained or stakeholder-sensitive environments.
Technical Knowledge
- Strong understanding of construction-stage governance, Contractor submission review processes, safety management arrangements, incident reporting, project controls, programme management and commercial risk management.
- Familiarity with BIM, digital collaboration platforms, common data environments and sustainable practices.
Qualifications
- Degree in engineering, construction management, project management, quantity surveying or other relevant discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Membership of a relevant professional body preferred, such as Engineers Ireland, CIOB, RICS, APM, PMI or equivalent.
- NEC4 ECC Project Manager accreditation and experience is required.
Skills
- Must be analytical, commercially aware, proactive and capable of challenging Contractor submissions, programmes, assumptions and claims where required.
- Must demonstrate excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, reporting, record-keeping and stakeholder management skills.
- Must be capable of acting as the principal day-to-day channel between the Consultant's project team, the Contractor and the Client.
