Welder Fabricator
We are seeking an experienced Welder Fabricator to join our team in a varied and hands-on role supporting the marine industry. You will be responsible for manufacturing and fabricating a wide range of bespoke products, components and assemblies, working from engineering drawings and specifications to deliver high-quality finished products. Previous aluminium welding and fabrication experience is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform welding tasks using MIG, TIG and ARC welding techniques.
- Fabricate metal components and structures from engineering drawings and specifications.
- Manufacture a wide range of bespoke products, components and assemblies for the marine sector.
- Prepare materials through cutting, grinding, cleaning and finishing processes.
- Inspect welded joints and fabricated components to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools, carrying out routine inspections and minor maintenance.
- Adhere to all health, safety and environmental procedures.
- Work closely with engineers, fabricators and supervisors to ensure projects are completed on time.
- Troubleshoot fabrication and welding issues, identifying practical solutions.
- Complete job records and material usage documentation accurately.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Welder Fabricator.
- Aluminium welding and fabrication experience is essential.
- Minimum 3 years' MIG welding experience preferred.
- Minimum 3 years' fabrication experience preferred.
- Competent in MIG, TIG and ARC welding processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and welding symbols.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physically capable of lifting, bending and standing for extended periods.
- Full UK Driving Licence essential.
- Relevant welding/fabrication qualifications or certifications would be advantageous.
Salary & Benefits
- £17.50 - £19.50/h DOE (Approx.£36,400 - £40,560 per annum)
- Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 16:30
- Regular overtime available
- Up to 10 hours overtime per week at x1.5 rate (Approx.£26.25 - £29.25/h)

- 21 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
- Annual Christmas shutdown of approximately 2 weeks (of which Annual leave will be needed to use for)
