Project Manager - Shafts & Tunnelling

We're currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join a a major Southern Water infrastructure projects across the Southampton area.
This is an excellent opportunity to take a leading role on complex shaft sinking, tunnelling with a secure pipeline of long-term work across the Southern Water framework.
The Role
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the safe and successful delivery of tunnelling, shafts and associated civil engineering works, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the full project lifecycle from planning through to completion.
- Leading site teams, engineers and subcontractors.
- Overseeing shaft construction, tunnelling and associated civils activities.
- Managing programme performance, budgets and project risks.
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
- Building strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and supply chain partners.
- Delivering regular project updates to senior management and the client.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within civil engineering or infrastructure.
- Strong background in shafts, tunnelling, utilities, water, wastewater, or major civils projects.
- Experience working for principal contractors or Tier 1 contractors.
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
