Our client is seeking a civil-biased Site Manager for a contract opportunity within the transmission and distribution sector. The role will involve overseeing site activities, coordinating project delivery and ensuring that all works are completed safely, efficiently and in line with relevant standards, including SR163 requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing day-to-day site operations across transmission and distribution projects
- Supervising civil engineering works, site teams and subcontractors
- Ensuring all activities comply with SR163 and applicable health and safety standards
- Coordinating site programmes, resources, materials and construction activities
- Monitoring progress, quality and performance to support successful project delivery
- Maintaining accurate site records, reports and relevant project documentation
- Liaising with project managers, engineers, clients and other stakeholders
- Identifying and resolving site issues while promoting a positive safety culture
Job Requirements:
- Experience working as a Site Manager within the transmission and distribution or civil engineering sector
- Strong civil engineering background, with practical site management experience
- Specific experience working in accordance with SR163 requirements
- Knowledge and understanding of procedures and standards
- Strong understanding of construction health and safety requirements
- Ability to manage subcontractors, site teams and multiple work activities effectively
- Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
- Relevant site management qualifications and industry certifications
