The Role


As a Project Engineer, you will coordinate and organise engineering development activities, working closely with technical specialists, project leads, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex internal development projects.
You will support project planning, scheduling, risk management, resource coordination, and technical reporting, helping ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support internal engineering development projects
  • Maintain and update key project documentation including quality plans, release plans and statements of work
  • Support project planning and scheduling activities alongside technical and project leadership teams
  • Identify and coordinate project resource requirements
  • Track project progress and ensure development activities remain aligned to agreed roadmaps
  • Monitor risks, issues and mitigation activities, escalating concerns where required
  • Liaise with technical authorities and engineering teams to provide accurate project status reporting
  • Support the generation and management of project requirements
  • Coordinate procurement and availability of development equipment, prototypes and engineering materials
  • Manage ordering and delivery of prototype hardware and associated project items
  • Organise and facilitate technical and project review meetings
  • Drive delivery of project milestones and roadmap activities
  • Support engineering resource planning and departmental improvement initiatives
  • Manage one or more concurrent engineering development projects
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities across the engineering function

What We're Looking For


Applicants should ideally hold a degree in Engineering, Electronics, Communications, Software, or a related technical discipline, together with experience working within a product development environment.

Advantageous Technical Experience


Experience or exposure to one or more of the following areas would be beneficial:

  • Communications systems and modulation techniques
  • Electronic circuit design and development
  • Analogue, digital and RF electronics
  • Embedded software and firmware development
  • FPGA technologies
  • Software development methodologies
  • Programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Python, JavaScript or HTML
  • Digital Signal Processing (DSP)
  • Network technologies and communication protocols
  • CAD design of mechanical components and assemblies
  • Product introduction into manufacturing environments

Additional Information
