About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Network Automation Engineer to join a growing technology team responsible for designing, maintaining, and improving modern network and cloud infrastructure platforms.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer with strong automation, cloud, and infrastructure experience to play a key role in delivering reliable, scalable, and secure solutions. You will work closely with architects, engineering teams, and operational stakeholders to automate processes, improve platform performance, and support business-critical services.

The role would suit someone with a strong background in network infrastructure, virtualization, Kubernetes, cloud technologies, and automation tools who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain automated infrastructure solutions.
  • Support and administer Kubernetes and containerised environments.
  • Manage and support virtualised infrastructure platforms.
  • Develop automation scripts and tooling using Python and other relevant technologies.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to improve delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor platform health, performance, and availability.
  • Investigate and resolve complex technical incidents and service issues.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to improve system reliability and scalability.
  • Contribute to infrastructure standards, best practices, and technical documentation.
  • Support the adoption of modern cloud and automation technologies.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Experience in infrastructure, network, or platform engineering.
  • Strong automation and scripting skills, particularly Python.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container technologies.
  • Experience with Linux administration.
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and virtualisation technologies.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with Git and version control.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable

  • Exposure to OpenStack or VMware environments.
  • Experience working with infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Knowledge of telecommunications or networking environments.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability platforms.
  • Understanding of cloud-native technologies and microservices architectures.
