Interim Procurement Transformation Lead
London| Up to £600 per day (Inside IR35) | Contract to October 2027
We are supporting a large public sector organisation undergoing a significant procurement and commercial transformation programme.
This role will lead the redesign and implementation of end-to-end procurement and contract management processes, helping create a more efficient, compliant and value-driven commercial function.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end procurement and commercial life-cycle processes.
- Develop governance frameworks, operating principles and decision-making controls.
- Drive process standardisation, simplification and continuous improvement.
- Align commercial processes with systems, reporting and performance management requirements.
- Establish benefits tracking for savings, social value, sustainability and contract outcomes.
- Engage senior stakeholders across procurement, finance, legal, governance and operational teams.
- Support implementation and adoption of new ways of working across the organisation.
About You
- Strong experience leading procurement or commercial transformation programmes.
- Proven track record in business process redesign and operating model development.
- Deep understanding of procurement, contract management and the wider commercial life-cycle.
- Experience working within large, complex organisations.
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement, facilitation and influencing senior leaders.
- Strong process mapping, governance and business analysis capabilities.
