Our client, a leading organisation within the rail and infrastructure sector, is seeking a PTS Section Engineer for a contract opportunity. The role will involve managing the day-to-day delivery of designated civil engineering work packages, ensuring that works are completed safely, to programme, to the required quality standards and in accordance with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing sections of civil engineering works through construction and delivery
- Coordinating subcontractors, site activities and supply chain teams
- Compiling and reviewing site documentation and engineering records
- Undertaking engineering control, setting out and quality assurance activities
- Managing inspection and test plans, inspections, records and handback documentation
- Supporting programme delivery, short-term planning and progress monitoring
- Resolving engineering and construction issues promptly and effectively
- Supporting compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements
Job Requirements:
- Experience working as a Section Engineer on rail, infrastructure or civil engineering projects
- Strong experience in setting out and engineering assurance
- Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating site activities
- Good understanding of quality processes, inspection and test plans and engineering records
- Awareness of temporary works requirements and associated controls
- Experience working with NEC contracts would be advantageous
- Valid Personal Track Safety (PTS) certification and CSCS card
- SMSTS or SSSTS certification would be desirable
- Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering or a similar discipline
