Our client is seeking a Sub Agent to support the delivery of infrastructure projects across the energy, defence and security sectors. Based on sites across Birmingham, the East Midlands and the M40 corridor, the role will involve coordinating engineering activities and helping to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Site Agent with the planning and delivery of construction and engineering works
- Supervising subcontractors, site teams and specialist contractors to ensure effective project progress
- Monitoring site activities, workmanship, materials and compliance with approved designs and specifications
- Assisting with programme management, site documentation, progress reporting and resource planning
- Promoting excellent health, safety, environmental and quality standards across project sites
- Coordinating with project managers, engineers, clients and other stakeholders
- Identifying potential risks, delays and technical issues, supporting the implementation of suitable solutions
- Contributing to the successful delivery of energy, defence, security and transmission and distribution projects
Job Requirements:
- Degree-qualified in civil engineering, construction management or a related discipline
- Experience in a Sub Agent, Site Agent or similar engineering construction role
- Strong understanding of construction processes, site management and project delivery
- Knowledge of health and safety, environmental and quality requirements within infrastructure projects
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and project documentation
- Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proactive approach to problem-solving, with excellent attention to detail
- Willingness to work across site-based projects in the Birmingham, East Midlands and M40 corridor areas
