Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong civil engineering background to support water infrastructure projects for Thames Water. This is a full-time, site-based contract role requiring effective project leadership, excellent organisation and a thorough understanding of civil works within the water sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the delivery of civil engineering projects from planning through to completion
- Co-ordinating site activities, subcontractors, suppliers and project teams
- Monitoring programme, quality, health and safety and environmental performance
- Managing project resources, risks, budgets and delivery schedules
- Working closely with clients, stakeholders and delivery partners to maintain effective communication
- Reviewing project documentation, method statements, risk assessments and progress reports
- Ensuring works are completed in accordance with relevant water industry standards and regulations
- Resolving site-based issues and driving projects towards successful completion
Job Requirements:
- Experience as a Project Manager within civil engineering or the water sector
- Strong knowledge of civil construction methods and site delivery
- Experience managing construction projects in a site-based environment
- Understanding of health and safety, quality assurance and environmental requirements
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent organisational, planning and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
- Relevant project management or civil engineering qualifications would be advantageous
