We're supporting a major precision engineering business as they embark on a significant manufacturing transformation programme.
This isn't a typical Manufacturing Engineer role. The company is planning substantial investment in new CNC machining capability and needs an experienced engineer to assess its current machine shop layout, capacity, and manufacturing processes to ensure the facility is future-proofed for long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess current CNC machining capability, workflow and production capacity.
- Review machine shop layout and identify opportunities for optimisation.
- Define machine specifications and configurations required to support future business growth.
- Develop recommendations for new CNC machine investments.
- Improve manufacturing efficiency, throughput, and utilisation.
- Support capital equipment planning and long-term manufacturing strategy.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven Manufacturing Engineering experience within precision machining environments.
- Strong understanding of CNC machining technologies and machine tool capabilities.
- Experience supporting capital equipment investment decisions.
- Knowledge of factory layout, capacity modelling, and production optimisation.
- Ability to engage with stakeholders and provide clear technical recommendations.
