Electrical Package Manager - Finland (Mission-Critical Data Centre Projects)
About Our Client
Our client is Europe's premier dedicated data centre delivery partner, offering full turnkey solutions from design through to construction and commissioning. Headquartered in Dublin and recognised as a trusted leader across the continent, they specialise in massive digital infrastructure projects.
They are currently expanding their high-profile campus developments across Espoo and Kirkkonummi, Finland. These advanced, sustainable hyperscale data centre sites require complex medium-voltage (MV) and low-voltage (LV) electrical distribution networks, high-capacity backup generation, continuous power supplies, and intricate life-safety integrations. To spearhead these critical electrical works, our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Package Manager to join their on-site team.
Role Overview
Based full-time on-site in Finland, you will take end-to-end ownership of the entire electrical package. Your remit will cover complete lifecycle management-from design coordination and procurement through to installation, rigorous testing, and final commissioning. By coordinating specialist subcontractors, site teams, and project stakeholders, you will ensure that these high-capacity electrical systems are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest technical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-Package Lifecycle Management: Direct the complete Electrical Systems package from initial design coordination through to installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Safety Leadership & Governance: Oversee site safety in conjunction with the Project Manager and Safety Advisors, including the setup, management, and close-out of safety files as part of the core management team.
- QHSE Culture: Promote and maintain a robust Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) culture across your entire team and subcontractor network.
- Schedule & Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the Project Manager, consulting engineers, and the client to manage project schedules and ensure timely milestone deliveries.
- Commercial & Cost Management: Oversee all financial associated aspects with the electrical package, including internal electrical teams, specialist subcontractors, material deliveries, goods receipting, plant equipment, and the tracking of variations and valuations.
- Day-to-Day Operations: Oversee daily site operations, ensuring company policies, quality benchmarks, and installation procedures are strictly followed.
- Subcontractor Supervision: Supervise subcontractor activities, tracking daily progress against master schedules and active manpower levels.
- Snagging & Quality Control: Maintain and manage the digital "In Progress" snagging system, ensuring supervisors submit weekly punch lists and distributing all snags to relevant subcontractors for prompt resolution.
What We Are Looking For
- Industry Experience: Proven track record in electrical package or project management, ideally gained on large-scale, mission-critical projects such as hyperscale data centres, pharmaceutical facilities, or heavy industrial environments.
- Technical Mastery: Solid grounding in LV/MV electrical distribution systems, switchgear installation, power generation, testing protocols, and compliance with European safety standards.
- Commercial & Leadership Acumen: Demonstrated capability to manage complex subcontractor accounts, labour resources, change orders, and fast-paced construction schedules.
- Communication Skills: Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and client stakeholders.
Why Join?
- Pioneering Digital Infrastructure: Play a vital role in constructing some of Europe's largest and most advanced sustainable data centre projects across Espoo and Kirkkonummi.
- Career Growth: Accelerate your professional development within a fast-expanding technology sector and an elite European contractor.
