Job description

Leading international consultancy seeks an Assistant Commercial Manager / Assistant Quantity level candidate with experience of working on rail projects, to join their established team in Stratford.

This is a contract role which offers hybrid working and will see you play a crucial role in providing support and assistance in all aspects of commercial management and quantity surveying within the rail industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and submission of valuations, variations, claims, and final accounts in accordance with contracts
• Provide support in the review and negotiation of contracts and subcontracts
• Assist with the measurement and pricing of works
• Conduct cost control and cost management exercises
• Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to ensure compliance with commercial and contractual requirements
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and forecasts
• Manage and document project-related correspondence and communications
• Support the Senior Commercial Manager / Quantity Surveyor in various commercial and contractual matters

Job Requirements

• Experience in Quantity Surveying within the rail industry
• Strong knowledge of commercial management processes and practices
• Ideally degree qualified in a commercial subject
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and build effective relationships with project teams and stakeholders
