Job description
Role Profile:
As the project coordinator you will support Project teams in the marine industry. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the planning of marine interior outfitting projects. This includes project set up, project close down, purchasing, resource and travel booking, logistics and shipping, warehouse operations, as well as general administrative tasks. The role will involve a significant element of onsite working in shipyards and vessels worldwide, supporting Project Managers and wider teams to achieve completion of large and complex projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source materials and raise purchase orders
- Progress chase deliveries and keep stakeholders informed
- Update system products and processes
- Source and book required labour, travel, and accommodation
- Co-ordinate onsite labour and tasks related to working in different countries and ports
- Carry out general support and administrative tasks
- Attend and contribute to project and department progress meetings
- Plan and generate project shipments
- Provide cover for the wider Project Support team during absences
Job Requirements:
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Fluent communication in English (both written and verbal)
- Strong experience with IT systems, including Microsoft Office & Outlook
- Willingness to learn and improve continuously
- Strong planning, time management, and prioritisation skills
- Ability to work in a highly pressurised environment
- Ability to build relationships at all levels
Minimum required education and experience:
- 1 year experience in an office environment
- Ability to work away from home for over 30% of the year
- Experience working in a site or construction site environment preferred
