Job description
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance and management of traffic systems and highways in a North London Borough.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting regular inspections of highways and traffic systems to identify any maintenance or repair needs
- Planning and managing the implementation of maintenance and improvement programs
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards
- Collaborating with other teams, stakeholders, and contractors to coordinate project delivery
- Providing technical advice and support on infrastructure-related matters
- Monitoring and analyzing the performance and efficiency of traffic systems
- Assisting with the investigation of traffic-related incidents
- Contributing to the development and implementation of policies and strategies
Job Requirements:
- Significant experience in traffic and highway maintenance
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and industry best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools
- Understanding of traffic management principles and systems
- High level of attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
