Job description
Whilst candidates with current Chargehand or supervisory experience would be ideal, Mechanical Fitters who have extensive experience and who are looking to progress, will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Running and overseeing mechanical fitting jobs on various marine projects
- Providing hands-on support in ship repair and maintenance tasks
- Supporting a team of fitters to ensure work is completed efficiently and to high standards
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure project deadlines are met
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
Job Requirements:
- Experience in a mechanical fitting role within the marine industry
- Previous chargehand experience, particularly in ship repair
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
