Job description
Our client, operating within the nuclear industry, is currently seeking a Technical Author for a contract position to join their team at Calleva Park/Hybrid.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, originate, and present technical information related to operation, plant, and procedures based on research, analysis, and evaluation of technical/engineering data.
- Create technical documentation including, but not limited to, SSoW's, LTQR's, PQMP, Quality plans, and reports.
- Formulate, analyse, and evaluate information to create method statements, risk assessments, and change control documentation.
- Plan the order and sequence of information, refining and developing necessary illustrations, and follow recognised standards for layout.
- Proofread own work and edit colleagues' work to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Submit approved documentation under the direction of Site Manager/Project Manager as applicable to the project schedule.
- Index and catalogue work for safe storage and efficient retrieval.
- Liaise with project team members, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to meet engineering, scientific, and technical requirements.
Job Requirements:
- SC Clearance is required.
- Experience in working on infrastructure projects within highly regulated industries such as Nuclear, Aerospace, Pharmaceutical, Rail, or Oil & Gas.
- Educated to ONC or equivalent level in engineering, communication, or appropriate subjects.
- Proven ability to create, develop, and originate working documentation for applications such as instruction, justification, and procedural change.
- Experience in a similar role within a radiological processing or waste handling environment.
- Experience with AWE 804 system is advantageous.
