Our client, a key player in the water sector, is currently looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and issuing accurate, timely, and compliant notices and correspondence
  • Identifying contractual and commercial risks and opportunities
  • Preparing and agreeing on applications for payment or assessing and preparing payment certificates
  • Maintaining registers of variations, delays, extension times, and claims
  • Implementing the company's commercial policies and procedures consistently
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly progress valuations and claims for completed work
  • Interfacing with customer's commercial and project teams
  • Producing pre-contract tender negotiations and reports where necessary
  • Producing monthly cost reports, forecasts, and contract leader reports
  • Advising on value management and risk management
  • Preparing supply chain enquiries, negotiating, administering, and finalising supply chain contracts
  • Planning and implementing change management and cost control

Job Requirements:

  • RICS accredited Degree
  • Quantity Surveying experience in the construction industry
  • Demonstrable financial and commercial acumen
  • Experience drafting effective contractual correspondence
  • Proven negotiating and team-working skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Legal, contractual, and construction knowledge
