Our client, a key player in the water sector, is currently looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and issuing accurate, timely, and compliant notices and correspondence
- Identifying contractual and commercial risks and opportunities
- Preparing and agreeing on applications for payment or assessing and preparing payment certificates
- Maintaining registers of variations, delays, extension times, and claims
- Implementing the company's commercial policies and procedures consistently
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly progress valuations and claims for completed work
- Interfacing with customer's commercial and project teams
- Producing pre-contract tender negotiations and reports where necessary
- Producing monthly cost reports, forecasts, and contract leader reports
- Advising on value management and risk management
- Preparing supply chain enquiries, negotiating, administering, and finalising supply chain contracts
- Planning and implementing change management and cost control
Job Requirements:
- RICS accredited Degree
- Quantity Surveying experience in the construction industry
- Demonstrable financial and commercial acumen
- Experience drafting effective contractual correspondence
- Proven negotiating and team-working skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Legal, contractual, and construction knowledge
