Our client, a leading organisation in the water sector, is currently seeking a Senior H&S Advisor to join their SHEQ team. This is a permanent role based within the UU region, providing a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional to make a significant impact on health and safety practices within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising the SHEQ team at a Senior level
  • Understanding and managing SHEQ risk
  • Supporting SHEQ across the company with a dynamic approach
  • Developing and implementing policies, procedures, management systems, and risk controls
  • Organising and supporting SHEQ assurance audits
  • Conducting and supporting accident/incident investigations
  • Collaborating with project teams to understand day-to-day challenges
  • Working with clients to deliver collaborative SHEQ approaches
  • Managing the project lifecycle from a SHEQ perspective
  • Highlighting opportunities for sustainable solutions
  • Analysing key performance data and maintaining management systems

About You:

  • Extensive experience in the Construction sector
  • Knowledge of statutory health and safety law in the UK
  • Experience with OHSAS 45001 (or similar) management systems
  • NEBOSH diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in the water sector would be preferred
  • Valid full driving licence and ability to travel as required
  • Ability to collect, analyse, and evaluate large volumes of data
  • CSCS card holder
  • Certified or Chartered membership of IOSH
