Our client, a leading independent consulting and engineering services group, is currently seeking an Environmental Consultant to join their team in the water sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work independently and within project teams to provide environmental input into designs and site support activities
- Analyse and interpret data followed by technical report writing
- Ensure environmental compliance in line with client's standards, requirements, and policies
- Interface with clients for environmental coordination, resolving queries and issues
- Preparation of technical material to inform decision making
- Support the senior team members in the delivery of environmental workstreams
- Maintain the ISO 14000 audit documentation and process for the UK and Ireland office
Job Requirements:
- Degree Qualified in any of the environmental disciplines
- Previous experience of working in an environmental role, ideally in a consultancy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to write technical reports
- Ability to work proactively and collaboratively with other technical specialists
- Decision-making ability to gather and synthesize information, identify options, and apply judgment based on logic and reason
- Problem-solving capability to identify complex problems, review and analyse information, and evaluate options to implement solutions
- Knowledge of EU and UK environmental legislation and current best practice guidance
