Job summary
We are looking for a P-Way Site Manager to work a six month contract (likely to be extended) based in South Wales. The role has been determined inside IR35. Reporting to the construction manager the right candidate will:

Job description
*Be responsible for the detailed planning and execution of Track Renewals *Works as allocated by the Construction Manager;
*Be responsible for planning and directing the activities of Site Supervisors and track staff;
*Hold Whiteboard / Stage Gate meetings in accordance with BB Track Renewals Procedure producing the required outputs to support effective and robust delivery of the works to completion;
*Ensure agreed performance and other KRAs are met;
*Ensure compliance with Contract allowables for all works;
*Ensure compliance with all relevant Safety Legislation and Welfare Regulations;
*Be responsible for ensuring all works undertaken comply with contract specifications and Network Rail Group and Line Standards;
*Be responsible for ensuring works are undertaken by competent staff;
*Assist with the provision of technical support to the Senior Engineer and Construction Manager;
*Ensure maximum utilisation of resources in delivery of all works;
*Ensure all staff have the necessary skills and are competent to undertake all duties safely, efficiently and to Contract Specification;
*Ensure all works are carried out safely in accordance with Rules, Regulations and appropriate Safety Legislation;
*Participate in the planning and preparation of Track Renewal works;
*Co-ordinate/Chair/Attend and record site meetings;
*Produce status and progress reports on site works;
*Ensure all works are undertaken in accordance with the WPP and any deviations from programme timings are reported timorously;
*Ensure track inspections are undertaken as stipulated in Network Rail Line
Standards;
*Undertake safety inspection as stipulated by BB procedures and Contract requirements;
*Assist in the production of WPPs and Task Briefs;
*Ensure appropriate Daily Work Returns (Planned v Actuals) are submitted timorously;
*Undertake accident/incident investigations as required;
*Ensure adequate provision of welfare facilities;
*Procure tool, materials, small plant, lights etc for contracted works;
*Participate in the Divisional Safety Briefing Programme;
*Attend meetings as required;
*Be On Call as required.
*Who we're looking for
*Personal Qualities & Experience:
Good in-depth knowledge of all aspects of Track Renewals Disciplines;
Excellent knowledge of Rules & Regulations, H.A.S.A.W and other appropriate regulations;
Excellent knowledge of both group and line standards;
Good IT skills;
Good communication and people management skills;
Full driving licence;
PTS and COSS.
