Job description
Our client, a prominent player in the technology sector, is currently seeking a Backend SmartCOMM Developer for a contract role. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on advanced backend systems, focusing on SmartCOMM/Thunderhead solutions, ensuring these systems are scalable, secure, and high-performing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, integrate, and maintain backend systems for SmartCOMM/Thunderhead solutions, focusing on scalability, security, and performance.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs using Java (Spring Framework, Hibernate) to support SmartCOMM document production and asset management operations.
- Ensure system stability and regulatory compliance through comprehensive testing and integration with cloud platforms such as AWS Cloud and Cloud Foundry.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, asset management teams, and compliance departments to deliver holistic solutions.
- Manage API gateways using Layer 7, ensuring secure and efficient data flow.
- Utilize SCM tools like Git and integrated development environments (IDE) such as Eclipse, IntelliJ, or Visual Studio for efficient version control and development processes.
- Stay informed on industry best practices for backend development, cloud infrastructure, and data security within the financial and asset management sectors.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience in SmartCOMM/Thunderhead backend development and integration.
- Proficient in Java (Spring Framework, Hibernate) with a strong understanding of backend architecture.
- Experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS Cloud and Cloud Foundry.
- Familiarity with API management tools, particularly Layer 7 (API Gateway).
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with attention to security and compliance in the asset management industry.
- Experience with SCM tools (Git) and working in Eclipse/IntelliJ/Visual Studio environments.
- Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams, and communicate backend processes effectively.
